How Does Genetic Testing Work?

The FGA test is simple to do. Once you order the test, follow the instructions included in the test kit, fill the provided tube with your saliva, register your kit, mail the kit to the lab, and the lab results will be uploaded directly into your portal within 4-6 weeks. Then our office will go to work to help you understand your DNA test results and what they could mean to your health.
In a private, one-hour consultation with our doctor, you will receive a Genetic Variant Nutritional Assessment report from the software platforms that analyzes your genetic raw data, as well as nutritional support recommendations based on your unique genetics. These recommendations will supplement your missing nutrients and antioxidants, or use nutrients to aid in the production of needed enzymes to ultimately reduce damaging oxidants and support healthy cells. We also may make other recommendations that could include dietary changes and/or suggested detoxification therapies.

We will follow up with you to monitor your progress and make changes as needed. It is often necessary to go through different phases of nutritional support until you get to a maintenance protocol. The goal is to resolve immediate health concerns and then start a prevention program that supports your nutritional health needs.

We are now recommending the customized and private DNA FGA Saliva Test Kit and no longer recommend purchasing a 23andMe or Ancestry.com test kits. The FGA testing kit will provide significantly more data than what is currently available on the 23andMe or Ancestry.com chips. If you have already purchased the 23andMe or Ancestry.com kit, we can still use the data that it provides but please understand that the information provided will be limited.  Please contact our office to order FGA test kit.
